Alfred Sisley was a British-born French Impressionist known for his lyrical landscapes and dedication to plein-air painting. Unlike many of his peers, Sisley remained true to pure Impressionism throughout his career, focusing on rivers, skies, and rural scenes.
His use of light and subtle color harmonies reflect an acute sensitivity to nature’s changing moods. Though less famous than Monet or Renoir, his works are now celebrated for their gentle brilliance.
